Zojirushi NS ZCC10 Rice Cooker Reviews

For me, this Zojirushi NS ZCC10 5.5 cup rice cooker is really the ultimate rice cooker machine!

What Make It The Best?

Well, this Zojirushi NS ZCC10 rice cooker has received the top rating from cook illustrated, consumer report and more. It’s really the ultimate rice cooker machine with a lot of advanced features and comes with a higher price. Well, in short, many experts have picked this as the best programmable fuzzy rice cooker in their overall rice cooker testing and reviews. And in my personal opinion, I think it is quite safe to say that you can’t go wrong by buying this rice cooker.

Anyway, this is not the main reason why I strongly recommend this best rice cooker. What I truly love about this rice cooker is you can cook whatever rice in it and still come out right each time. Either you are cooking with white rice, brown rice, black rice or making sushi, this Zojirushi NS ZCC10 rice cooker will automatically adjust it for cooking different kinds of rice and store your texture preference!!! This is really smart and powerful rice cooker machine. Even though sometimes I forgot to put in enough water, but still the cooked rice comes out perfectly each time. This saves the day sometimes. But of course, compares to other ordinary rice cookers, the trade off is longer cooking time for this advanced technology.

My Personal Zojirushi NS ZCC10 Rice Cooker Review

For me, this rice cooker is pretty easy to use even though it comes with a lot more features in it.  Also, it is very easy to clean. And it can cook up to 5.5 cups of raw rice that good enough to serve 3-4 people in the family. 5.5 cup rice cooker is pretty standard cup size for a rice cooker but if you are looking for a smaller rice cooker or rice cooker that can cook only for 1-2 people, you might want to check out this Zojirushi 3 cup size rice cooker. Anyway, my tip here is if you have guests to come over your place sometime, it’s better to get a bigger cup size rice cooker but you also want to make sure that you bigger cup size rice cooker can fit on your kitchen counter top:)

 What Is The Bad Thing About This Rice Cooker?

One thing to note here is this rice cooker doesn't come with a streaming basket and the one I bought some time ago comes with an incomplete instruction manual, but since I don’t use streaming basket or read any rice cooker manual, I guess I will give it a 5 star for this rice cooker review except it is a bit pricey compared to other rice cookers.

I’ve prepared a handy list which I believe everyone who has not bought a rice cooker before, should go through before actually marching off to buy one.

Size & Style

With more and more brands in competition, we consumers are flooded with choices of the best rice cookers in the market. As such, know what size of a cooker you want. (note: size of cooker and capacity of cooker are different) Some people might want a huge square purple rice cooker, while some might opt for a petite white cooker. Make sure you know what you like.

Capacity

Capacity is definitely important. Knowing what capacity you need is even more important. Make sure you ask yourself questions such as: Is your family growing or growing up and moving out? Are you interested in increasing your culinary ‘experiments’? Do you JUST want cook rice? You might just want to cook for 2 people, 2 meals a day or you might want to cook for your extended family of 12 for dinner. I, have a cook for a restaurant, thus, I have a really HUGE rice cooker. Make sure you know how much you need.

Settings

What sort of settings are you looking for when you want to buy the rice cooker? Do you want a cooker that just? cooks? Or might you intend to make congee one day, soups the next, and cook all sorts of different rice types? Do you want a rice cooker with multiple settings or just one? Make sure you know what you need. You wouldn’t want to spend lavish money on settings you don’t need.

More than Rice

For some people (like me), I use my best rice cooker for more than cooking rice. Apart from merely cooking rice, certain models have multiple functions in one. They can range from cooking pasta, steam vegetables, and even double up as a steam/slow cooker! So, make sure you know if you’re going to need all these extra features before you make your purchase.

Well, apart from these few hints and pointers, other aspects you might want to consider would be how easy is it to clean, and features such as is the rice cooker cordless, or the rice cooking bowl is detachable or not. All these, though seemingly trivial, would serve as conveniences in the long run.
